WAVES: Navigating grief through art, wilderness and water

This February I presented at PechaKucha at the Ellen Theatre in Bozeman about the artwork I created in my own personal grief process after the loss of my sister, Alexa.

My goal in sharing my story was to invite more dialogue about grief and the complex ways we navigate its waves. Please share with anyone you may think it might resonate with.

Thanks again to all those who attended the event. Your presence, words of encouragement and sharing of your own personal stories have bolstered me in so many different ways. It’s been a heavy couple of months with losses of loved ones in my close circles, and we need to keep reminding each other we do not have to suffer quietly, or alone.

What is PechaKucha?
PechaKucha, Japanese for ‘chit chat’ is a global storytelling platform in which a presenter shows 20 slides for 20 seconds of commentary each. At a PechaKucha Night, individuals gather to share personal presentations celebrating people, passion, and creative thought.
