An Easy Way to Elevate Your Energy
As I just completed a mural in the new Highlander Brewery in Salmon, ID and am working on revamping my new studio space in Bozeman, I’ve been thinking a lot about interior environments lately and the impact that artwork (and color) has on our overall well-being.
I randomly flipped to this passage this morning in the book ‘Signs: The Secret Language of the Universe’ by Laura Lynne Jackson. She writes:
‘Art in all of its forms is a kind of dialogue between us and the entirety of existence, past, present and future. It is elevating our lives by elevating our energy.’
What a statement!
It’s always been a goal for me to create artwork that serves as more than a pretty picture that goes with the living room couch, because ultimately it’s about the energy that is infused into each piece, an exchange of beauty and vitality that fosters a connection in which we all grow together.
While of course I’m here for you if you want to commission something special for your space (is this soft pitch working? 😉), I believe this dialogue with the universe can exist in any form that is special and speaks to us: an inspiring paint color. A postcard from a friend. Your kid’s artwork. And all the millennials know this one: houseplants. Soooo many houseplants.
In conclusion, this letter is a gentle nudge of something to consider when adorning your space. Like, I love Target as much as the next gal, but I’m not sure we can purchase an elevation of frequency in a big box store, or from a robot for that matter. But I’ll save the AI conversation for a different day.
