Having grown up in Rapid City, South Dakota, the Badlands have always been a special place to me.
I made a solo trek there a couple of years ago on my birthday - 11/11 ✨. It was a frosty day, so aside from a herd of big horn sheep I was pretty much the only one in the park to witness the iconic sunset across the snow-covered formations.
